Our Awards History

We have been very competitive at the national level in the last three conventions (2010, 2011, and 2012) In all three we've had best display, best fur, best junior doe, and won two out of the six classes.
In 2012 we also had 2nd and 5th place meat pen (Champagne D ’Argents are a great meat pen rabbit) and 2nd and 4th place single fryers against New Zealand’s and Californians.
In the last 5 years we've placed no worse than 3rd in the Champagne Federation Sweepstakes standings. In all we have had two second places in the sweepstakes (2008 and 2011) and a first place in 2009.

Best of Show 2010 Mendota tri-county fair we took home a best in show and a best of breed with our beautiful buck Twist and Shout.

February 2010 Update With just over 4,000 points, we won the champagne d'argent sweepstakes for 2009, it was one of our main goals in 09.

September 2009 Update Hip Hop Hip Hop - Grand champion!

October 25&26, 2008 - Charlotte the rabbit, bred and raised by Jerry, is the best Champagne D'Argent rabbit in the nation! Charlotte She beat out 148 other Champagnes at the ARBA National Show in Louisville, KY. She also won 100 lbs of feed and a "win" picture from Purina, and other pictures from Calf Manna and Heinhold Feed.

Sunday March 30, 2008 - JC Bunny Ranch won won best of breed, best opposite sex and 3 first in Bloomington, IL.

Saturday, May 10, 2008 - Won 2 best of breeds, 2 best opposites and 8 1st place ribbons in Pontiac,IL.

Showroom weights of the Champagne D'Argent rabbit

  • Senior Bucks-8 months of age and over, weight 9-11 lbs. Ideal weight 10 lbs.
  • Senior Does-8 months of age and over, weight 9 1/2 - 12 lbs. Ideal weight 10 1/2 lbs.
  • Intermediate Bucks-6-8 months of age, not over 10 lbs
  • Intermediate Does-6-8 months of age, not over 10 1/2 lbs.
  • Jr. Bucks and Does-under 6 months of age, not over 9 lbs. Minimum weight 4 1/2 lbs.
